TITLE: Demonology Pt. 25
SUBJECT: Touch Not The Unclean Thing - Defiled By What We Partake Of
SPEAKER: Ron Peterson

Deut 23:14
14 For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

2 Cor 6:14-18

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Rom 6:17-19

17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Gal 6:7-8

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

PERSEVERANCE_ 62-0520

E-42    You know, somehow faith finds a source that others don't know nothing about. No matter how much they try to say, "Don't go," they go anyhow (See?), 'cause faith finds its source. Others don't see it. That's right. Now, she knowed His Word. And the Bible said in Hebrews the 4th chapter and the 12th verse, that, "the Word of God is sharper than a two-edged sword, cutting even to the--the asunder of the--the soul, and a discerner of the thoughts of the heart." That's what the Word of God does. It discerns even the thoughts that's in your heart.
Listen. Faith is the hand that can yield that Sword. No other hand can do it, no ecclesiastical hand, no organizational hand, no group hands, no national hands. It takes the hand of faith to do it. And depends on how strong that hand is. You might cut enough away from you to see that you're--you're free from sin. Then if it's strong enough, you can cut into healing. You can cut into anything that God promises. It's all out there. As He told Joshua, "Everywhere the soles of your foot sets, that's possession." Depends on how strong that hand of faith is that yields that Sword of God's Word.

THE.BREACH.BETWEEN.THE.SEVEN.CHURCH.AGES.AND.THE.SEVEN.SEALS_ 63-0317E

69-1 {13}    Well, I--I wondered what it meant, "That is the King's sword." And I thought, "If it would've said, 'A king's sword,' it might've been that I would've understood it, but it said, 'The King's sword.'" So I may not have this right, but I thought, "There's only one The King; that's God. And His Sword is this, sharper than a two-edged sword. See? And... "Ye abide in Me and My Words..." See?
And a... I--I thought in dueling... You see, and as I under--I don't understand one word of it, but--or one principle of dueling, but the best of my understanding, the knife striking across, and then finally, the--the swords, if they lock--the enemy and you lock the swords like this, then it takes the strength of the man dueling, because (See?) his sword would be pointed to my heart and mine to his; but they're locked, as our knives striking each other, and then they strike, and then the swords come together. And the one that can shove the other one down, the sword's straight to the heart. So it takes, even though the Sword be the Word, it takes the hand of strong faith to hold It there to bring It to the heart of the enemy.

DISCERNING.THE.BODY.OF.THE.LORD 59-0812

8-7    Rightly discerning, rightly dividing... Whiskey, alcohol's, why, they say that it's harmful. All over your television screen, all over every billboard, in your newspaper is a big cans of beer with lovely young women drinking it. They show you when they start. Look at them a little later from that. It fills their mind with poison toxin. Its increase of insanity is terrible. It causes immorality among the young. And even the churches today are preaching and practicing, many of them, "drink moderately." You know that's the truth. Telling their young folks at home and the parents, "Let your children drink. They're going to drink anyhow, so just teach them to drink moderately." The Bible condemns it. It's not right. God help a man with no more discernment than that, or a church. Can't discern the right from the wrong.
9-1    Oh, it's a terrible day that we're living in. Discerning the Lord's Body... In our churches and among our church people today, it's such a shame of the way our women are acting too, many of them wearing immoral clothes, those little shorts. It's so sinful. A lady told me, and many's told me, said, "Billy, you better quit talking about that." No, sir. I may have to preach to posts, but I'll be telling the truth. That's right. That's right. It's the truth. Thank you. It's wrong, and it's sinful.
As one lady said to me, she said, "I don't wear shorts; I wear slacks."
I said, "That is worse. The Bible said it's an abomination to God for a woman to put on a garment that pertains to a man." It's the truth. And then the alibi is they don't make any more clothes besides that. But they still make sewing machines and sell goods.

QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.ON.THE.HOLY.GHOST_ 59-1219

 428-Q-93    The first question tonight:
93. Brother Branham, I think television is a curse to the world. What do you think about it?
Well, ever who wrote it, I'm going to agree with you. They have made it a curse to the world. It could be a blessing to the world, but they've made it a curse. Anything like that, my dear people, is what you look at yourself. If television is a curse, then the newspaper is a curse, then the radio is a curse, and many time the telephone is. See, see, see, see? It's what you make out of it. ……
428-88    But, dear person, ever who you are, I certainly agree with you. It's become one of the most damnable things to the human race. ………. I agree with you; it's an awful thing. Now, that's not... You know, it's just something you find. Thank you, sister, brother, ever who you was that asked that.

THE.ARROW.OF.GOD'S.DELIVERANCE.SHOT.FROM.A.BOW_ 56-0801

E-45    You say, "Brother Branham, I'm guilty of the sin that you've preached against tonight. I'm guilty of staying home from my church and looking at television. I'm guilty of reading old lusty magazines. I'm guilty of looking at vulgar pictures. I'm guilty of watching women on the street that's immorally dressed. I'm guilty of all these things, when I ought to have turned my head and been a Christian gentleman or lady." Are you guilty? Then answer before God by raising your hand, saying, "I'm guilty."

WISDOM.VERSUS.FAITH_ 62-0401

28-9    See? It's the grass roots of wisdom trying to reason. Our warfare is not carnal, but mighty, casting away all reasons (See?), pulling down the strongholds of Satan, that great flowerly, beautiful creature. Not a slick greaser, oh, no, that's on the inside; but outwardly sin is twice as pretty.
You know sin's beautiful? How many man in here and women is past fifty years old raise up your hands. (I didn't--I oughtn't to ask the women, but I--I--we all admit the truth.) I want to ask you a question. Do you see today that women are twice as pretty, nearly, as they used to be, on the run, the average, across the world? If that's so, raise up your hand. Sure. They're twice as pretty as what they used to be. Get some old pictures.

Deut 7:1-4

1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

Ezra 9:11-12

11 Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.
12 Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.

Ex 34:14-16

14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods , and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
16 And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.

Ezra 9:1-2

1 Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
2 For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.

2 Cor 12:20-21

20 For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.

LET ME SHOW YOU A MORE MODERN VERSION OF THAT SAME SCRIPTURE

2 Cor 12:20-21

20 For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder. 21 I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged.

JEHOVAH.JIREH_ 57-0326

E-35    Listen, the world wants mixers, but God wants separators. That's right. Separate yourself from all the things of the world. God wants somebody to separate themself. And the children of Abraham, God's children, they separate themselves from the things of the world. The Bible said, "Come out from among them and be not partakers of their unclean thing. And I will receive you unto Myself, and you'll be sons and daughters to Me, and I will be God to you." Separators...

JEHOVAH.JIREH_ 61-0226

E-44    Anything that's contrary to God's Word, separate yourself from it. Don't care what it is. Come out from among them. Touch not their unclean thing. That's--that's good sound sense, spiritual speaking, understanding. The Bible said so, "Come out from among them. Touch not their unclean things; I'll receive you." Can't bring the world, He just won't do it. No, sir. When you're circumcised, the world's cut off of you. That's right. Then you're Abraham's seed.
God has recognized His promise like He did with Abraham, circumcised him. And that's the same thing it is when God recognizes your faith, and He cuts the world off of you, and give you the Holy Ghost, and you really believe God then for whatever He says. That's right. Until then, you're just a professor, not a possessor.
