TITLE: Demonology Pt. 24

Deut 13:12-14
12 If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,
13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
14 Then shalt thou inquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;
2 Cor 6:14-18 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Cor 10:2-5 2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
1 Cor 10:20-21 20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
206-1 PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5 And that is what Constantine and his successors did at Nicaea and after Nicaea. They invited the people of God to the convention. And when the church sat down to eat, and rose up to play (partaking of church form, ceremonies, and pagan feasts named after Christian rites) she was trapped; she had committed fornication. And God walked out.
207-2 PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5 They ate things sacrificed to idols. Now I don't say that this really means they were literally eating meats sacrificed to idols. For though the council of Jerusalem had spoken against such, Paul did not make much of it as he said the idols were nothing. It was just a matter of conscience except where it offended a weaker brother and then it was not allowed. Furthermore, this Revelation has to do with Gentiles and not Jews as these are Gentile Churches. I see this in the same light I see the words of the Lord, "Except ye eat My flesh and drink My blood you have no life in you. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." You can see that eating is actually partaking in a spiritual sense.
So when these people were bowing to the images, lighting candles, using pagan holidays, confessing their sins to men (all of which belongs to the devil's religion,) they were partakers with the devil and not of the Lord. They were in idolatry whether they admitted it or not. They can talk all they want that the altars and the incense are only to remind them of the prayers of the Lord or whatever they think it means; and they can say that when they pray before the image it is just for the sake of emphasis; and that when they confess to the priest, it is really to God they are doing it in their hearts, and when they say the priest forgives them, it is just that he is doing it in the Name of the Lord; they can say what they want but they are partaking in the well known Babylonian, Satanic religion and have joined themselves to idols and committed spiritual fornication, which means death. They are dead.
2 Cor 11:2-3 2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Gal 5:19-21 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Tim 5:22 22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
WHERE.I.THINK.PENTECOST.FAILED_ 55-1111 E-68 You had too many television shows and too many... The kids... Here they had a little old thing out here, not long ago... Show you how the devil can do it. There ain't a kid in this country, but can tell you who David Crockett is, can tell you he was born in Tennessee, and all about him killing a bear when he was three. And you know that's a lie. But it... But all that, they can tell you all about it.
But if the devil, through television and everything, can push that into every child's head in America, what ought the Church to do by Jesus Christ, and you'd stop juvenile delinquency. Hallelujah. Don't get scared. "Hallelujah" means, "Praise our God." "Amen," that means "so be it." So it won't hurt you to say that once in a while.
DISCERNING.THE.BODY.OF.THE.LORD 59-0812 8-7 Rightly discerning, rightly dividing... Whiskey, alcohol's, why, they say that it's harmful. All over your television screen, all over every billboard, in your newspaper is a big cans of beer with lovely young women drinking it. They show you when they start. Look at them a little later from that. It fills their mind with poison toxin. Its increase of insanity is terrible. It causes immorality among the young. And even the churches today are preaching and practicing, many of them, "drink moderately." You know that's the truth. Telling their young folks at home and the parents, "Let your children drink. They're going to drink anyhow, so just teach them to drink moderately." The Bible condemns it. It's not right. God help a man with no more discernment than that, or a church. Can't discern the right from the wrong.
9-1 Oh, it's a terrible day that we're living in. Discerning the Lord's Body... In our churches and among our church people today, it's such a shame of the way our women are acting too, many of them wearing immoral clothes, those little shorts. It's so sinful. A lady told me, and many's told me, said, "Billy, you better quit talking about that." No, sir. I may have to preach to posts, but I'll be telling the truth. That's right. That's right. It's the truth. Thank you. It's wrong, and it's sinful.
As one lady said to me, she said, "I don't wear shorts; I wear slacks."
I said, "That is worse. The Bible said it's an abomination to God for a woman to put on a garment that pertains to a man." It's the truth. And then the alibi is they don't make any more clothes besides that. But they still make sewing machines and sell goods.
QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.ON.THE.HOLY.GHOST_ 59-1219 428-Q-93 The first question tonight:
93. Brother Branham, I think television is a curse to the world. What do you think about it?
Well, ever who wrote it, I'm going to agree with you. They have made it a curse to the world. It could be a blessing to the world, but they've made it a curse. Anything like that, my dear people, is what you look at yourself. If television is a curse, then the newspaper is a curse, then the radio is a curse, and many time the telephone is. See, see, see, see? It's what you make out of it. ……
428-88 But, dear person, ever who you are, I certainly agree with you. It's become one of the most damnable things to the human race. ………. I agree with you; it's an awful thing. Now, that's not... You know, it's just something you find. Thank you, sister, brother, ever who you was that asked that.
THE.ARROW.OF.GOD'S.DELIVERANCE.SHOT.FROM.A.BOW_ 56-0801 E-45 You say, "Brother Branham, I'm guilty of the sin that you've preached against tonight. I'm guilty of staying home from my church and looking at television. I'm guilty of reading old lusty magazines. I'm guilty of looking at vulgar pictures. I'm guilty of watching women on the street that's immorally dressed. I'm guilty of all these things, when I ought to have turned my head and been a Christian gentleman or lady." Are you guilty? Then answer before God by raising your hand, saying, "I'm guilty."
THE.MARRIAGE.OF.THE.LAMB_ 62-0121E
E-91 So I think that's the way with preaching the Gospel. If it don't stir you up a little bit, get your--feel your spiritual gastronomics started right, make you a little sick to examine yourself with the Bible; see if that old temper, and selfishness, ungodliness, love of the world, television, and things at night. And leaving the church set empty, and the pews set empty, when you ought to be out there like Jesus (you got His Spirit in you), trying to get everybody in the country to come to your church to receive Christ. And we call ourselves then the bride of Christ.
Oh, what a pity, friends. The hour has come. His bride has made herself ready, oh, made herself ready. She laid aside all of these things.
Remember, Esther was chosen and the others was rejected. And only those that's borned again, that's got the Spirit of God, will be the chosen that day that the crown of glory will be set upon her head. And the others will be rejected.
WISDOM.VERSUS.FAITH_ 62-0401 28-9 See? It's the grass roots of wisdom trying to reason. Our warfare is not carnal, but mighty, casting away all reasons (See?), pulling down the strongholds of Satan, that great flowerly, beautiful creature. Not a slick greaser, oh, no, that's on the inside; but outwardly sin is twice as pretty.
You know sin's beautiful? How many man in here and women is past fifty years old raise up your hands. (I didn't--I oughtn't to ask the women, but I--I--we all admit the truth.) I want to ask you a question. Do you see today that women are twice as pretty, nearly, as they used to be, on the run, the average, across the world? If that's so, raise up your hand. Sure. They're twice as pretty as what they used to be. Get some old pictures.
Gen 6:1-2 1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
