Ps 107:19-21 19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
1 Cor 11:27-30 27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
1...Contention that since a little boy... And, when I was a... first converted and when I met up with the--the people, the full Gospel people, I've always had in my heart that there was something different. And, when the Angel of the Lord met me... And, how many was in my primitive meetings when I first started? Is there anybody here that was in my first meetings when I first started? How I’d take the people by the hand, you remember that? Alright. And, you heard me say that it would come to pass, that He told me that it would come to pass, if I'd be sincere, then I would--I would know the very secrets of the people’s heart. You remember Him saying that? I didn't work... it wasn't them, but He said it would be. Well now, that's taken place, and He told me... I told Him, I said, I questioned it, and He said, "I'll be with you."
3 Well now, I don't say demon possession. It's demon oppression. You see? Uh... Satan in the flesh, not Satan in the spirit. Satan in the spirit gives unclean habits and so forth. Unbelief.
4 You might live just as pure and holy and clean, and yet be a sinner. It's your faith that saves you. See? Many people live… they’re just as pure and clean and yet a lot cleaner sometimes, than people who profess Christians live. But, yet would deny the Holy Ghost, would deny every operation of the power of God. They're unbelievers. No matter... They're very religious. And, the antichrist spirit is a very religious spirit. Just to the mark. Just as religious as it can be. The antichrist…?... Jesus even said it would deceive the very elect, if possible, in the last days. It's true.
Luke 11:24-26 24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
THE.ONENESS.OF.UNITY_ 58-0128 8-2 But today as Billy Graham, our beloved brother, as he's having the people to dump themselves out with sin, he hasn't got the message of filling-up again. That's what's the matter. You are dumped out. But let me humbly speak to you as your brother. The Bible said, "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks in dry places." In other words, he's going around everywhere trying to find rest. A spirit is not very bad until he can find somebody that he can talk to or live through.
8-3 Just recently I could feel the spirit in the meeting. And you all who are sending your letters in as an apology of the first night or two to believed that it was some kind of a mental setup, and now you're convinced, sure, I forgive you. God does too, and the Lord bless you. Certainly.
Now, when the meeting going on, a evil spirit in the meeting, that spirit is almost harmless until it can catch somebody that it can work through. Then when it can work through, it'll certainly do damage, because it is a evil spirit. And the Holy Spirit is here, trying to find somebody to work through, and when It finds somebody to work through, It can do good.
See, the two spirits, their motives, objectives? Watch how it is. Watch their works. Watch their fruits. Then you can see what spirit is on you.
THE.ONENESS.OF.UNITY_ 58-0128 8-6 You are motivated by spirit. If you have no spirit, you're dead. And if you have a spirit, it motivates your life. And if your life bears the fruit of a Christian, it's a Christian Spirit.
Now, you may be filled. Now, watch this evil spirit. When he goes out, he walks in dry places hunting a place to find rest. The Bible said he could not find it. So he says, "I will return back to where I come out of." He goes back to this person that he was once in, and he finds the house all swept, cleaned up, sanctified, all condemnation gone, oh, just a real happy believer. But it's empty, and he said, "Come here," seven other spirits, worse than he was... Will you please try to get this. The Bible said that's the truth, Jesus said it's the truth. And he comes back to this house.
A man who has confessed Christ to be his Saviour, has got rid of his wickedness, has quit his drinking, quit his smoking, his lying, his stealing, he has become sanctified, cleaned out. His house is all swept; He feels free. So he comes back, and he finds that house. Then he goes and gets seven other spirits worse than he was and comes into this person. And the Bible said that the last estate of a man is seven times worse than it was at the beginning.
THE.ONENESS.OF.UNITY_ 58-0128 9-2 Now, what just happened? A re--evangelist comes through. They preach repentance, and you clean up from your sins. And then when you're cleaned up, the devil goes away from you. You take your things back that you've stole. You go, confess your wrongs to your wife or your husband. You're really cleaned up. And then the thing of it is, you're just clean and make a real good target for the devil.
Now, after the people believed and was baptized, they were filled with the Holy Ghost. And that's God's Divine program. Now, if you are filled with the world... And when you get saved, you might be filled with good thoughts and so forth, but unless you are filled with God... God sent the Holy Spirit to the earth to motivate the church. And you might be filled with thoughts. You might be filled with theology. And you might be filled with education, a know it all. And you might be filled with religion, and still be a target of the devil. That's right.
7 And, I've often wondered and seen people come to the meetings that have been through meetings and went through prayer lines. And, the first thing you know, they wind up there at the house, some of them possessed with evil spirits. They've been through there. They've been prayed for and prayed for and prayed for and oil poured on their head and prayed for, through this prayer… but yet it hangs right on. Now, there's some reason somewhere. If… You know that there is such a thing as divine healing, don't you? And, you know that there is no hard case with God. Well, God healed leprosy same as He would a toothache. See? It's all under the atonement.
8 But, when you look... and reading articles, this person was setting paralyzed... Healed. Here's another one with, uh, maybe with, uh, a last stage of cancer, just withered away. They're made well. Then, see another person maybe with just a--a persistent headache or something. And, just been through prayer line after prayer line. There's something wrong somewhere. There's bound to be. Now, that's where the benefit of the little humble gift that God gave me. If I can get that person alone, be quiet and before God, it’ll reveal just exactly what’s the matter. There’s something that they haven't done, or something that they ought to have done. There's some reason for it somewhere. But, you must find that, then the patient goes makes it right. They get well.
O.LORD.JUST.ONCE.MORE_ 63-0628M 119 Did you know the Roman Catholic church was first the original Pentecostal church? It taken it two thousand years to get in the condition it's got today. If this Pentecostal organization keeps on another fifty years, it'll be worse than the Catholic church. That's right. Sin heaping on every side! Now you might not think that I... You might think I'm crazy, but I know where I'm at. See? And it's true. You just wait and you'll find out. Yes.
